What we’ve learned from you in 2025

This past year you’ve joined us in your tens of thousands on our social media and website to learn more, and share your concerns about the prevalence of chemicals in our everyday lives. Thank you.

So, we thought we’d share what we’ve learned from you about your interests from your clicks, shares, and comments, and share our Top 5 stories of the year with you.

One – you’re worried about glyphosate’s link with cancer

In July we posted an update about the seminar we’d joined about glyphosate, the world’s most widely sprayed herbicide. Micheal Antoniou, Professor of Molecular Genetics and Toxicology at Kings College London presented groundbreaking results of a study confirming that glyphosate and glyphosate-based herbicides cause multiple types of cancer in animals reared in a laboratory setting, even at exposure levels deemed to be “safe” by the EU.

The news spiked our website visits so high, we thought it might break our analytics. Read it here.

Two – you’re interested in the link between EDCs and early puberty

This post really resonated with parents and grandparents among our followers, highlighting that a grandfather’s exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) may significantly influence the age at which his granddaughter begins puberty, potentially leading to earlier onset of menstruation.

We ran the post on our social media, extending it for several weeks as interest was so high. Read it here

Three – you want to know more about the Everyday Chemicals Test

We began sharing information about our NEW Everyday Chemicals Test in June this year, and so far, thousands of you have shown interest in the test.

The Everyday Chemicals Test is to help people screen for exposure to 27 different metabolite markers of everyday chemicals that they might encounter at home or in daily life, using a single urine sample.

Like many startups, we’ve had a few delays in bringing the test to market, but we’re thrilled by the level of interest you’ve shown us ahead of the launch in 2026.

Four – we’re not alone in wanting to know more about neurotoxicants

Our post, what are neurotoxicants, was quite a curveball, driving much more traffic to our website than we anticipated. In this post, we talked about neurotoxicants – substances including chemicals, with toxic effects that can harm the structure or function of the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.

When we first began sharing information about the potential effects of exposure to chemicals in daily life, our audience was quite small – so this post was a step change for us, as thousands of website visitors and followers clicked through to learn more about this specialised field of scientific study.

Five – microplastics are a real concern for you

Information about microplastics has soared this year across all news channels and social media, and our channels were no exception. So when our post, ‘what do we know about microplastics’ ran for weeks and weeks, it was no surprise that it drew tens of thousands of views on our social media.

Thank you for caring about the same issues that we do

During 2025 your visits to our Facebook and Instagram feeds have helped us reach a much wider audience of like minded people who share many of our concerns about the effects of exposure to chemicals in our daily lives than we anticipated at the start of the year.
