We provide via home test kits, the identification of environmental pollutants that may increase a person’s predisposition to adverse health outcomes; and information to help mitigate such risks. Lastinghealth works with some of the World’s leading laboratories in the field of personal pollutant measurement to provide clients with an independent and expert analysis service.
Medical practice in the West has seen enormous advances in recent decades, but notwithstanding its many and varied successes, there seems little doubt that there is an increase in a wide spectrum of difficult to treat conditions ranging from food and inhalant allergies, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD), gastro intestinal illnesses (including IBS), chronic fatigue and immune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis. Even more serious is the inexorable increase in cancers and diseases of the brain:
- The World Health Organisation reported a doubling of childhood cancers since 1975; and an almost four fold increase in breast cancer.
- The largest increase in cancer incidence rates by age is now in the 0-24 age range.
- Dementia has overtaken coronary artery disease as the number one killer, in the west, of women.
Whilst the underlying causes of these difficult to treat conditions, both life threatening and life debilitating, may be unproven, what is not in dispute is that the increase in these conditions is real and that in some at least, environmental factors are implicated. It is against this backdrop that new approaches are needed to provide potentially better management.
